Back by popular demand, Battle of the Bands – The USA vs The UK. For a 5th year, The Commonwealth Club will host this annual showdown between The Paisley Fogg and their best mates from Windsor British Beat 66. Tickets are just $15 and include a traditional UK dinner of “bangers and mash”, all the dancing you can handle, and prizes for the best 60s costume. As in previous years, there will be an outstanding selection of Brit and American beers and other beverages at the cash bar.
Tickets will be available at the door, however, because the club has been “overwhelmed” by the response to this event in previous years, they are taking advance reservations this year. Please call Chuck Simpson to make reservations at (248) 227-3127.

The Paisley Fogg returns for another Thursday night performance at this year’s Woodward Dream Cruise in Downtown Ferndale. The Ferndale stage is located on West 9 Mile (just west of Woodward). Join us at 5:30 PM for 90 minutes of the best music from the 60s … right alongside some of the best rides of the 60s! Check out Downtown Ferndale, winner of the Great American Main Street award, with The Paisley Fogg providing the soundtrack. We’ll be followed by another of Brother Tom Birchler’s musical projects, The Fun Guys, featuring Tom’s son Mike driving the band on drums! You’ll get 3 straight hours of guitars and harmonies fit for a cruisin’ summer night.

Watch the Fogg melt Thursday evening, July 11 from 7:00 – 9:00 PM on the south-facing steps of Livonia City Hall. If the sun is shining, the band is guaranteed to be “on fire” for this one. While Dawn’s vocals and Tom’s guitar solos have often been described as “hot” and “burnin’ man”, this maybe the first time the entire band spontaneously combusts. Spinal Tap may be outdone by this Paisley Fogg performance. Donations of sun screen and extra fans will always be welcomed!

Once again this year’s grudge match features the invading Canadian enemy, British Beat 66, versus the heroic American defenders The Paisley Fogg. Guests are invited to dress in appropriate 60’s regalia again this year for a party that gets better with each new battle. The boys in the bands are especially looking forward to a repeat of Patty G’s hot Nancy Sinatra look!

The Paisley Fogg will be dusting off our surf sounds for 4 hours of fun on the beach at the Harbor Beach Maritime Festival. This is the Thumb of Michigan’s best-kept party secret, therefore we can’t give you an address for our spot in the sand, referred to as the Beach Stage. The locals and the boating crowd can direct you – or just follow your ears to the twang of the surf guitars. We understand this is the one time each summer that Harbor Beach turns a blind eye toward the contents of your cooler (!). We’ll play from 8:00 pm until midnight, with sound support from Hyperman.

The Paisley Fogg will provide the musical back drop for the Brother Rice & Marian High Schools Class of ’71 Reunion, featuring an authentic “sock hop” in the Brother Rice gymnasium from 7 till 11 PM. Paisley Fogg 12-string guitarist Keith Birchler is a 1971 graduate of Brother Rice and Keith’s wife Ethel was a Marian HS class of ’71 grad. The bands other two brothers David (‘68) and Tom (‘72) are also BRHS grads and expect to see many old friends that evening – literally “old” friends!

Both bands rocked the dance floor for the 150 sweethearts who turned out for the coolest Valentine’s Day Party in all Tecumseh! Our hosts, The Knights of Columbus Tecumseh Council 4375, kept everyone’s spirits high with the finest in Canadian and US brews. Both bands look forward to a repeat performance as soon as the weather breaks into summer.

The Commonwealth Club of Michigan, 30088 Dequindre, Warren hosts this second annual battle of British vs American bands. This will be the grudge match between British Beat 66 and Paisley Fogg. BB66 is out for revenge following last year’s victory by Paisley Fogg in this People’s Choice event.
For a $15 ticket, the Commonwealth Club is providing a dinner of “bangers & mash” and a cash bar beginning at 7:30 followed by music from 8:00 till midnight. Wear your dancing shoes because these 2 bands raised the roof last year.

The Paisley Fogg headlines this second annual fundraiser for the childrens’ non-profit Kids Against Hunger. 6:00 PM – Midnight at Monaghan Knights of Columbus Hall, west side of Farmington Road just south of 8 Mile. $20 suggested donation for the Kids!

A special performance for our friend Tom Wearing at the wedding reception for his daughter Shannon and her new husband Zubin. Cliff Bell’s is Detroit’s premier jazz venue but Paisley Fogg rocked the club for one memorable evening.

The dance tent was the size of a basketball court at this Mt. Clemens area festival sponsored by St. Hubert’s Catholic Church. The beer tent being right next to the stage kept the atmosphere festive and the giant dance floor provided room for everyone to showcase their moves.
